Our Service Policies

Assessment & Diagnostic Policy
Every drone booked in for repair undergoes a comprehensive diagnostic assessment before any work begins.
- Diagnostics identify root causes and required parts.
- A written quote is issued for client approval.
- No repairs are done without your authorization.
- If a client declines repairs, only the diagnostic fee applies.

Repair Authorization
Work begins only after written approval (email or signed quote).
Any additional issues found during repair will be reported before proceeding.
Omnisky reserves the right to return unrepaired drones if authorization is not received within 7 business days after quoting.

Parts & Components
- Only genuine OEM or manufacturer-approved parts are used in all repairs.
- If original parts are unavailable, OmniSky will notify the client of suitable alternatives.
- Replaced components remain the property of OmniSky unless otherwise requested prior to repair.

Warranty on Repairs
OmniSky provides a 3-month workmanship warranty on all completed repairs.
Warranty covers:
- Defects in workmanship or replaced components.
- Calibration or configuration issues post-repair.
Warranty does not cover:
- Damage from crashes, water, or unauthorized tampering after collection.
- Firmware modifications by third parties.
- Natural wear and tear beyond the service scope.

Shipping & Courier Policy
- Clients may ship drones to Omnisky using any trusted courier.
- Drones must be properly packaged — see our Packaging & Courier Guide.
- Omnisky can arrange insured courier pickup on request.
- Return shipping is available nationwide at the client’s cost unless otherwise agreed.

Data & Privacy
- Client data (photos, flight logs, etc.) is handled confidentially.
- No files are accessed or copied unless necessary for diagnostics.
- Data recovery services are performed under strict confidentiality.
- OmniSky complies with POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act) requirements.

Abandoned Equipment
- Equipment left uncollected 90 days after notification will be considered abandoned.
- Omnisky reserves the right to dispose of or recycle unclaimed items to recover service costs.

Training & Certification Policy
For OmniSky Academy and SACAA-approved courses:
- Course fees must be paid in full before training commences.
- Students must adhere to Omnisky’s Safety Code of Conduct.
- Certificates are issued only after all assessments are completed successfully.
- Cancellations require 5 business days’ notice for rescheduling.

How do I book my drone in for repair?
Use our Book a Repair form to register your drone online. You’ll receive an acknowledgment email and a reference number.

Can I get a quote before sending my drone in?
Yes. Use the Get a Quote form to upload photos or a short video of the issue. Our technicians will provide an estimated range before formal diagnostics.

Do I need to remove my battery or SD card before shipping?
Yes. Please remove batteries, propellers, and SD cards before shipping to prevent damage and protect your data.

What if my drone was water-damaged?
Do not power it on. Remove the battery immediately and ship it to Omnisky within 24–48 hours for ultrasonic cleaning and corrosion treatment

How do I know when my repair is complete?
You’ll receive a notification by email or WhatsApp once your drone passes quality assurance testing and is ready for collection or shipping.

What happens if my drone can’t be repaired?
If a drone is beyond economical repair, we’ll issue a diagnostic report with recommendations for replacement or parts recovery. The diagnostic fee still applies.

Is my repair covered by warranty?
Yes, all repairs come with a 3-month workmanship warranty, covering the specific components replaced or serviced.

Can Omnisky recover flight data or footage?
Yes. Our technicians can perform data recovery on DJI, Autel, and other brands, retrieving flight logs, telemetry, and video files when possible.
09.
Do you train drone pilots and technicians?
Yes. Visit our Omnisky Academy section for SACAA-approved RPC, RPC Credit, RPC Renewal, and UAS Maintenance Technician courses

What if I need support in the field?
Omnisky offers remote troubleshooting and on-site technical support for enterprise clients.
